^ here it is, excuse camera lens curvature
^ to give you an idea of how big this is, the marked out square is 8x10, the paper is 14x17, the board is approximately 20x24. (the shadow is my legs... i wasn't too concerned with lighting)
these were new when i bought them 3 days ago for this project.
i started out as a traditional artist. although the only thing i hate more than colored pencils is watercolor. it's too damned time consuming.
i probably have 12 hours invested in that piece already o_O
....prismacolors are by far the cheapest professional quality colored pencils. they're only like a dollar a piece. i've seen them as expensive as $2.50 a piece, and that's not even at the school, that's at the art stores around town (which are far cheaper than the school). i just can't justify spening more than a dollar for something that doesn't even last that long to begin with.
....my god i'm having an art faggy day today.
hmm pencils usually cost about 2 dollars here... maybe its a new york thing??? I think it was hours well spent it's really nice. Water color isn't my thing, but I do it once and a while for the fun of it until I get so frustrated I say fuck it and not do it for a few months.
yeah, stuff in the south is cheaper, in general, although atlanta is a more expensive place in the south to live.
watercolor is too permenant for me. i like working in media that i can cover up my fuck ups in. once watercolor is down, you can't change it.
