i have this awful and all encompassing craving for snickerdoodles.
i think this is due to equusk giving me a bite or two of hers while in gwinnett place mall a couple of weeks ago.
snickerdoodles remind me of my afterschool ritual when i was friends with laura. we would go after to her house and make snickerdoodle dough and sit on the couch and eat it with the frozen juice concentrate in a can while we watched thundercats. this was probably in the 10th grade, or something like that. we had no excuse to be watching thundercats.
too bad i'm too sick to taste shit. damn you sickness! *shakes fist*
heh, i'm all fiesty and defiant tonight, much like tedthelipoma, but with less pseudo-cancery goodness.
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
cream the butter and sugar, add the rest of the wet ingredients, mix. sift the dry ingredients together and add those. chill dough for about 2 hours so that it's workable.
preheat the oven to 375, and stir together:
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons brown sugar
in a bowl. roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in the bowl of sugary goodness. bake for about 8 mins or until golden brown around the edges.
they usually call for crisco, this is one of the only recipes i've found for them that doesn't. (i think crisco is rather disgusting)
at first i thought tommy tumour was like, a muscle that just felt really weird.
people aren't always big on touching lipoma, i dunno, i've never found 'wanna feel my tumour?' work out too well to hit on people...
it's possible. it's a new england-ism dating back to the 1920s from what i've gathered. (see? more of that useless knowledge)
snickerdoodles are pretty much any cookie that is rolled in cinnamon before baking. they're usually crispy on the outside and soft and cakelike on the inside.
very very yummy.
