i think i'm going to start using hair dye as a styling product.

so cute. so straight. so quirky. *shakes fist at lame semi curly hair which defies all product*

filenames in homage.

so yeah, i touched up the blue. the finished product looks about that shade, just brighter and significantly more poofy.

that lamp is in there because that's where we take ebay pictures, and sometimes they need more lighting.

i don't believe in heat styling. i actually don't much believe in styling or washing my hair that often. i gave up trying to get my hair to do anything the way i want it to long ago.

i've had my hair straightened with a good straightening iron and it didn't hold, anyways. it held for like 2 hours. my hair is really thick and coarse and won't do a god damned thing.

Bald girls won't have to worry about their hair being curly or straight.

i'd also get atrocious sunburn in the summer. i've had minor sunburn on my scalp before and it makes the baby jesus cry.

In the summer you can use Zinc sunblock on your head. It comes in different colors so you could make cool designs on your head and prevent sunburn.

i burn/tan with 50spf sunblock, it makes it hard to keep my tats nice and sunfree. i'm so fucking pale, it's really hard to avoid the negative effects of the sun without just staying inside.

If you like what that stuff does to your hair, you should try this stuff out.

http://www.matrix.com/products/trix/switchtrix.aspx

It works like a gel and a paste. It can be soft or hard depending on how you apply it, and boy does it smell good ;)

right now when i style my hair i use a pomade and a wax, and they hold for about 20 mins. i don't like my hair to be hard, that's just not sexy.

i've never been able to find something to actually hold my hair. gel doesn't unless i use half a bottle, hairspray doesn't (not even the hardcore 80s shit), it's really enraging.

i dunno, i'm always looking for new stuff to try. i'll probably check it out. thnxies :)

do you deep condition your hair? A lot of times, hard to style hair can be a lot easier to work with if you do a weekly deep conditioning. If you color your hair a lot (especially if you have bleached in the past) you probebly need a protien treatment as well, followed by a deep conditioner. You can pay up to $30 for products like Redkin (a good one) or if you have a local Sally's Beauty Supply store in your area, they have some good good alternatives for protein treatments and deep conditioning. They also sell a line of products called 'Beyond the Zone' that range in price from $2.99 to $6.99.
The Super Sexy Styling Sauce (I know they have lame names) and the Straight Shot would be fantastic for your hair.. check them out if you have a Sally's in your area.

Oh yeah, the hair looks cute!!

i do deep condition as often as i can, it doesn't seem to do a lot other than make my hair marginally softer, i haven't tried protein treatments though, i'll have to look into that.
