whatever is going to be on the news now that terri schiavo and the pope are dead?

perhaps *gasp* real news? maybe about all the fucked up shit going on in us foreign policy? the raping of our freedoms? the fact that finally a state (illinois) smartened up and is forcing pharmacists to fill birth control prescriptions regardless of moral objections?

silly idealistic me. they'll probably just focus on the jackson trial. like that actually effects the average american.

well about 15 states have made it okay for pharmacists that have "moral objections" to birth control pills to refuse to fill prescriptions for it.

illinois past a law that forces pharmacists to have to fill the prescriptions.

Well, the Pope's death is actually news to a lot of Americans. It isn't like a relative passed away, but he's a noted world figure.

You're right though, they'll probably just focus on the Jackson trial. Since OJ, court is the greatest reality show.

Dream on my crab loving friend,

the powers that be will continue to throw up the news version of empty calories in order to distract us from what they are up to. How many people have died in Iraq while we were obsessing over the fate of a veggie in Florida? Well who know because it wasn't news worthy while six years old being forced by their parent to get arrested for trying to break into a hospice with a cups of water that Schivo couldn't drink make the news.

I wish we could get back to the real issues facing this country but we are a nation of consumers with our heads so far up our asses that we can't even smell shit anymore.

Reality will hit sometime in the next decade and it won't be pretty.

I wish I could be more positive on this but we both know a large number of our fellow Americans are total morons who care about nothing other than going to Wal-Mart for their latest piece of plastic from China and whatever preacher Bob at MegaChurch Inc. tells them to believe.

Damn, I need to go to bed.
