we went to a junkyard today to get a window for shawn's car. it's $30 for all you can carry.

there's a wagon there. the same color as mine with the windshield and driver's side door intact. we have to go up there tomorrow because they didn't have a window after they said that they did.

i'm so getting a new door for $30!!!!!!!!!! i can't believe my good fortune :D maybe a windshield too if we can get it out without cracking it. :D

my car is relatively rare in the us, although it was sold everywhere else as the civic wagon/shuttle until 1996. parts are hard to find and it sells for between $2-$3k in good shape. civics of the same year are worth $1k if you're lucky.

i really wish it wasn't just all you can carry. there's so much shit i want to get that we can't just carry. being able to load up a hood and drag it out would be great.

That great the junkyard up here that ive gone to with friends is like 50.00 for all you can carry. Thats why if we need to get something, like 4 of us will go with big army duffle bags, a few basic tools. Were usually there for like a hour, an leave with anywhere from 500-750 worth of parts that we an use.

we can't actually use bags. it has to be in your hands. although they don't check you as you leave.

this is the only junkyard in atlanta that i've found like this. the other ones are more expensive because they pull the parts for you.
