fireworks were nice. i went to lenox.
they set some people's car alarms off. and they were really pretty, eventhough i felt like i was going to puke everywhere/die.
towards the end someone yelled "woo!!! canada!!"
i'm so fucking sick. being sick in the summer is lame.
last year i was standing with a group of people who were hideously drunk that announced that it was the official republican section and then began chanting "usa usa usa" and i got a couple of "woo! america!!!"s and at the very end someone yelled "fuck you england!!!!"
eventhough i thought "fuck you england" was fucking hilarious, i still think "woo! canada!!" is funnier, if only for the fact that i'm probably about to move there.
mine started with coughing and moved into a sore throat. i lost my voice yesterday. i seem to be doing slightly better today since i don't have a migraine anymore.
i don't seem to have a fever anymore either... i'm just leaky and my throat feels awful from the coughing. i'll have you know that nothing's quite as nasty as waking up in a puddle of your own snot and being too weak to do a damn thing about it. :\
I've only watched the Lenox Square show once and that was several years ago. It was probably one of the best shows I've ever seen back then, so I'm sure it was fantastic this year.
Sorry you're sick, but at least you're back in Atlanta. I'd much rather be sick in Atlanta than in Alma! =)
it's supposedly the biggest show in the southeast... but i'm sure every big show says that. it's definitely the most impressive 4th of july show i've ever seen (granted, before then the biggest one i'd seen was at fernandina beach. alma's is like 6 fireworks and douglas is like 15)
at least if i would have gotten sick in alma i would have gotten medical care, since my mom can afford it and i can't. granted, medical care in alma probably involves using leeches to bleed you, but still.
Ahhh yes, the Alma show. 6 fireworks you say?! My how times have changed. Back when I saw it, it was just me running around nekkid with a sparkler. While the fireworks may not have been that impressive, it was quite a show. =)
At least Alma has leeches. I figured they'd just give you an RC and a moon pie and send you on your way.
"Good fer what ails ya'!"
